Welcome to Duck Haven Dogs. We started Duck Haven Kennel as an offshoot of our hunting pursuits. Our German Shorthairs are as much a part of our success as they are our family.

We test all of our personal dogs in the NAVHDA natural ability test. Some of our dogs go on to the Utility test as well. We strongly believe that NAVHDA testing helps to ensure high-quality, versatile dog, blood lines. Have a look at the NAVHDA website and join a local chapter. New Puppies: ALL SOLD. Beta-litter puppy stats: Born August 27, 2007; 5 Females (4 Black/white, 1 Liver/white), 3 Males (2 Liver/white, 1 Black/white).

Niki's Beta-litter is a first-time breeding between two excellent lines. Ready to go to good homes in October, this litter has NAVHDA Versatile Champion written all over it. Dam is Int Ch No-Mar's Nichole v Enzo (Niki), NA Prize II and sire is Sternjager's Duckhaven Stryker, UT Prize III, NA Prize I. Both parents have strong prey drive, love the water, are stoic in the field and have a strong personable side that makes them wonderful to have in the home. Both parents are OFA Good and CERF Clear. Stryker is a Shooting Starr dog; Niki brings a lot of German import to the mix. The litter will be both AKC and NAVHDA registered. First shots, dew claws, tails will have been taken care of. Transportation costs will be covered by buyer. More pictures and NAVHDA test results on request.

Both parents and 2 puppies of the Alpha-litter are members of the Kerr family and reside here at Duck Haven Farm.

Niki's Alpha-litter (Int Ch No-Mar's Nicole vom Enzo + VC Shooting Starr's Rocket) was awarded a NAVHDA Breeder's award for Niki's last litter. At 6 months old, 2 of the 4 puppies achieved perfect 112 points, prize I awards! A 101 and a 92 rounded out the day's tally and put us well over the 360 points needed for the Breeder award.

UPDATE May 2008: 4 puppies from this litter are now perfect 112 Prize 1 winners. Congrats Ruger, Buddy, Piper and Motor.
